The aim of Mathematical Neurophysiology is to deepen knowledge of the electro-physiological properties of neurons, to develop student’s skill for constructing a mathematical neuron model, and to encourage positive attitudes towards developing brain-inspired information technology.
This course has been designed to introduce the graduate student to mathematical neurophysiology. It targets a wide range of students with diverse backgrounds and varying biological experience. The course introduces a mathematical approach to neurophysiology. The mathematical and physical laws that are the basis of the cellular neurophysiology will also be covered, and procedures in computer simulation of a neuron model will be included.
